Lol yeah if only this was an italian cup final eh :D
:D At least he can have a big piss up on Merseyside later.

I feel gutted for Cardiff and I hate those bastards, from numerous encounters with their 'special' fans :D

Proud of Big Ben Turner though, Cov product :)

Cardiff only have themselves to blame in the shootout, two post widths and letting Gestede take one was funny.

Some people in here :sergio:

Winning a trophy is very important for a big team with in a drought. Be it the Carling Cup or the FA Cup or in Juventus' case Coppa Italia - a trophy is a trophy and it's important both for club morale and for the future to secure them when you're in this situation.

Rosicky was amazing going forwards for Arsenal today his best game in eons and a throwback to how he used to play.
Such a breath of fresh air seeing Rosicky semi resembling the old Rosicky we all know. Another reason its so good that he's beggining to regain his form is the fact that we don't have to go through the torture of seeing Ramsey screw up every single attacking move we make.

The dawn of a new era for the Reds?
:howler: Pool fans posting all over facebook.
Not on this evidence.

They are the only 'big team' who played a strong side throughout this tournament, which perhaps tells it's own story. It's nice to win something, but it's of no relevance to important prizes. Still, they deserve some credit for treating the competition with respect. It's on it's knees because of too much football and money, even the FA Cup has taken a big hit in terms of prestige.

The sheer number of plastics where I live pisses me off, nothing really club specific. Liverpool fans here are just amongst the most deluded and so disliked. They try to pass you off with Liverpool folklore and tradition, despite being born around the corner from me.

My brother summed them up when I spoke to him after the cup final. He said he had to bite his lip in the pub, it was crawling with plastic scousers. To cut a long story short they put their team down all game, and when 'Stevie G' had his penalty fantastically saved they were all 'Gerrard you cunt', 'you're fucking shit'. Liverpool win the shootout, Gerrard is walking up the steps to collect the trophy 'One Steven Gerrard, there's only one....' etc. Fucking mugs. Little plastic weasels who'd I'd like fire from a rocket into the Sun.

Still, the ones who didn't turn up just for the cup final have suffered a fair amount over the last couple of decades in comparison to those who change sides every few seasons.

My old man really hates Liverpool so I suppose it rubs off a bit, but he has genuine annoyance because Heysel meant English clubs were banned for 5 years, and with Coventry winning the FA Cup in 1987 it meant they couldn't play in European competition for only the second time in their history. The first being in the Europa League equivalent (Fairs Cup) in 1970 when he was just a kid, Coventry actually beat Beckenbauer's Bayern Munich 2-1 at home before being smashed 5-2 away :D He used to work half the time in Liverpool in the 80s as well, and even did a tour of their trophy room, but he has a real problem with scousers. Must also be from the 80s as he was well into the hooligan scene :D

That reminds me of a story actually, one time Cov were away at Liverpool and my dad and his mate were walking near Anfield some time after the game. They had blue scarves on and a group of about 20 Liverpool fans approached them. One of them said 'who are you boys?' (which team), probably thinking they were Cov or maybe Everton. My dad's mate, who was a bit of a wise cracker, said in a broad Glaswegian accent 'we're Rangers, lads' :D My old man is useless with accents so he just popped up with 'Aye' The Liverpool fan said 'well we don't really want trouble with those boys, do we lads', and they just walked off. Basically his mate saved them from getting a complete kicking lol.

I'm waffling now. My top most disliked English teams?

1) Leicester City
2) Aston Villa
3) Leeds United
4) Wolverhampton Wanderers
5) Liverpool
6) Millwall

It isn't the dawn of anything, we're still very mediocre.

However, I am going to get some beer and celebrate the fuck out of this.:D
 Enjoy.
