utd fans at old trafford have got to be one of the worst set of home fans i've ever experienced, went to watch them few years ago in a league cup game against qpr and all i heard was the qpr fans, despite man utd going on to winning the game 1-0

The problem is that there are too many prawn sandwich fans there, and people who go 'to be entertained' (and see a United win), as if they are at the theatre.

That's what the PL have turned their top end game to, pure voyeurism. Only those clubs where more regular fans go - working class (and others) on which the sport was founded - retain the atmosphere. It ends up being smaller, unsuccessful clubs, or niche areas like Liverpool and Leeds. Anfield can be really quiet in regular league games too, saying that.

f*ck the theatre and being entertained as you put it, i wana see tifo shows, correography and flares, not the quiet atmosphere at a home ground of a well known team, i don't know how english fans do it, i swear i would never pay to watch a english match again.

My brother and my friend were in London watching Arsenal-Stoke yesterday. The crowd went wild only at the end when they announced the result in Manchester :D
~30 seconds celebrations for the Arsenal goals but good 2-3 minutes loud celebration when the crowd learned the result in Utd-City.

But they both loved it there and are full of praises about the organization. Too different from most of the other leagues, but they liked it.
