IMO Veiria's departure was the biggest loss, even bigger than Thierry. Cesc's departure could trump both though.

We're super fucked for the Pool and United game, both Song and Gervinho are banned for three games.

Midfield of

Frimpong
Ramsey Rosicky

You guys are all gloom about Juve but there is no doubt your midfield is twice as good as that midfield over there :sergio:
Not really Arsenal were still a force to be reckoned with, the funds were available to find a suitable replacement. Wenger just couldn't put his pride in his pocket & do what was best for the team.

As for your last sentence, Martin said it best.

Remember Fabian O'Neill? And Ruben Olivera, "the best talent in South America" according to one guy.

Yeah but you have mediocre players yet you still manage to get a result from time to time. Juve signs players that are good on paper and they flop.
We got results because despite the mediocre players we have, we still had Cesc, Nasri and Van Persie. Now that two of those are leaving, and Van Persie is permanently crocked, i don't think we are any better than Juventus this season. That is unless Wenger brings in 2-3 players in the remaining two weeks.

It's too bad Nasri didn't work out. Like you lovingly said before "I have nothing but love for him but I hope he'll be a catastrophic flop" Nasri turned out just the way I wanted. Yet what's the point of throwing away your career like that, he might as well have succeeded instead.

:agree: true

Arsenal as a "team" are much much better than our team. You can have a team filled with WC players but if they don't perform well together then they will always flop.

Thats why almost every player arsenal buys performs really well with them, pretty much the opposite in our situation.
