He's a pretty good keeper, but massively overrated by the EPL/English pundit hype machine.

He always seemed pretty unreliable until this season - very athletic and capable of some amazing saves but his positioning and reading of the game often suspect.
This year, however, until recently, it seemed to me he had taken a big step towards becoming a great GK and was always on the right spot and saving City's ass whenever I would watch them. These past several games, however, he's hit a poor patch ... I am guessing it's temporary but the title seems to be slipping away from City now and the players look like they know it.

yep, they lack the mentality of champions and falter when the going gets tough ... there is of course one person on that team whose responsibility is to instill mental toughness in his players, but that's a whole other topic

I've heard them describe him as the best GK in the league, and I don't think that's far off really. Szczęsny is probably better.
