Whenever they've got a decent offer they've sold their players.

I've seen this scenario over and over almost every season with arsenal and people kept saying the same thing about them finnished or not going to make it the top 4 for years now and yet they've made it every single year.

Wenger "will" replace Fabregas and nasri with players who will have a potential to be just as good perhaps even better if not this summer then next.

Will they win trophies ? Most likely they won't but they will still be competitive and reach quarter-finals in the CL just like every year and finnish top 4 as always.

What excuse do we have for not winning titles though? What excuse do we have for not spending money like the rest of our competitors do(barring City of course)?

Plus like i said this is completely different, we are selling players who haven't even peaked yet, we are selling two of our best midfielders while they're under 25, that is something Wenger has never done during his 15 year reign on Arsenal. Frankly, it is quite obvious that even players have lost faith in Wenger, why would they stay if Wenger is more interested in developing players than he is in winning trophies?

Its time for a change of approach and a change of priorities, and if that means Wenger has to go, then so be it. My only problem is i think our board is even worst than Wenger, if they let him go, which won't happen anyway but if it does, they'll probably go for an average manager who wouldn't ask for a huge salary ala Wenger, so we might even become worst. Best case scenario is if we have a completely new management and they come in and ask Wenger to leave.

I think the arsenal management are pretty realistic about their goals and I personaly agree with their approuch.

They know that right now its almost impossible to compete "financially" with the likes of City, united and chelsea. The premier league is "much" harder to win today than it was 10 years ago when there was only united and arsenal competing for the title each year.

Arsene wenger will pretty much gurantee them a top 4 position every season with hardly spending much. as for the CL he'll reach the second round and from there everything is possible (just look at the milan team in 2006, who would've thought back then that they will win it, when they were struggling is a crappy serie A ?)

The fans are not satified, thats the norm. Fans will never be satisfied unless their club wins trophies but for the owners they're more than glad to have wenger at the club.

Thats better than spending millions and millions every summer just to find yourselfs playing shit football and ending up not even making it to Europa league let alone the CL ( yes thats us).

That's the same old BS excuse we've been hearing for years now, Wenger had the money to become title winners but he chose to buy faggot ass players like Squilacci and Cockchelny instead of going after somebody like Hangeland or an out and out striker that could take RvP's place instead of that cabbage Chamakh.

Financial constraints? yes, but Wenger chose the mediocrity because his French arrogance actually had him convinced that he could build a Barcelona on a shoestring. He chose excellently on some players and poorly on others, like most managers. Problem is, he refuses to adapt his philosophy in order to continue wining, which makes him a loser. Bergkamp had more balls than the entirety of this current team put together. He can spend 15m on Nasri, but won't shell out for a good CB?

Etc. Etc. Fuck Wenger.

I completely agree. He has become the Riquelme of managers, everyone knows he's got amazing ability, but for some reason(in Wenger's case, stubbornness) he just wastes it. It's a shame because i truly believe he's a very good manager, but i guess thats what too much power and too little accountability can do to you.

For years now, all we needed was a couple of good signings here and there. Yet Wenger persisted on keeping faith with youngsters and mediocre players, well now we need a complete rebuilding of our team, and its nobody but Wenger that got us to this state.

Forza Arsenal this season and Forza Wenger.

Fuck Barca for their bullshit efforts with Fabregas. To like that club is beyond me. They want everyone on the cheap.

We did this to ourselves, we can't blame anyone else for it. I don't really blame Barcelona for negotiating hard to get a favorable price for themselves, especially when we fucked them over by stealing him from their academy, what i do blame them for, is their disgusting conduct. How they all make public statements about how Cesc is "suffering" in Arsenal and we should "let him go". Extremely disgusting club that is more disgusting because of their holier than thou attitude, when they are one of the lowest clubs ever.

That's what I mean. However they're not paying market value for Cesc who is worth minimum 45 Million.

We're talking about 40 Million for Modric and Cesc is on another planet.

Ya i agree about that. If Cesc was a United player, theres no way he'd even go for his market value, he'd go for more than his market value. If he was a United player SAF will not sell him for anything less than 50M.

That's the funny thing though, Players in this market are hideously overpriced, Cesc is priced fairly in general but thanks to the EPL tax etc. Modric, a player wort at €25m is valued 60% more than he is 'worth'.
