What a pathetic team we are, really. The comeback just masks the fact that we cannot defend for shit. Credit to RVP for an amazing finish, he really is the only top class player in this Arsenal team. But it was all Spuds fault really, and this is something Redknapp does all the time. His team are amazing when they're playing with speed and aggression, but they lose their advantage as soon as they decide to defend deep and try to suck in the pressure. He's done that so many times with the top teams over the years when he gets the lead, and he's done it again.
Vermaelen is all over the place, ever since moving back to CB he's been atrocious really. Koscielny has been much better than him today, Vermaelen is just too rash, and leaves gaping holes in the center of defense by attacking the ball and trying too much to anticipate play.
Offensively, we've created a few chances and deserve to score the two goals, Theo is at least interested today, even though yet again his decision making is quite poor. RVP has been up for it today, his movement has been really good.
We need the defense to defend better as a unit, we need Vermaelen to focus a bit more, we need to try and not leave too much space between the defenders for the likes of Bale to exploit, and most importantly we need to keep possession and keep attacking them and pressuring them.
We can still win it.
