Tottenham could have taught them a lesson in efficiency, Bale was very good, but that was clumsy for the penalty. It did look like Balotelli stamped down on Parker and should have been sent off, just seen the replay. What a cunt.
Totally :agree:
Did he really stamp Parker? Didn't notice that.

I think it was Defoe's fault. If Bale passed earlier, it was higher chance for the pass to be blocked.

Balotelli is a champion, although he should have been sent off in 2nd half :D
He had a lot of time and space when he first got the ball, but it took him too long to realize he can pass to Defoe, by that time the defender got closer to him and made it harder for him to pass to Defoe. If he controlled it first touch and immediately passed it, there was nothing the City defender could do about it imo. and in all cases the pass asked too much of Defoe imo.

That was obviously intentional, the second stomp i mean.

On another more positive note: Vermaelen is starting, and Arshavin is not in the starting lineup :weee:

Still, the absences of all 5 of our fullbacks in addition to Diaby, Wilshere, Arteta, Henry and Gervinho means that we're playing with an understrength side. But judging the circumstances, its great knowing Vermaelen will be playing at leftback and not some U20 centerback played out of position, its also great knowing we wouldn't have to be subjected to the torture of watching Arshavin fuck up anything that comes his way. Its also nice to know there is no way Chamakh will be playing today.

I guess he could have passed earlier after watching the replay. But think the blame lies in between both of them.
