Suarez is a quarter of that I guess, and they spent little to get Jose Enrique because according to a Geordie friend of mind 'our owners are Cockney Mafia bandits'. After that you are looking at a lot of money for a bunch of decent players.

Was it not expected though. I mean ffs, spending 20M on Henderson?! 40M on Carrol. Neither were particularly special in their respective teams. Those two signings were never going to be value for money.

Downing 20 million :howler:

I like Downing but man, 20 million was laughable.

Suarez was their only great signing and I predict he'll leave in a year or two when he realises Liverpool will not make the cut.

Dalglish was obsessed with the British market, as he probably doesn't know any others considering he last coached in 1872. What kind of club would do that? :D

So true. Downing is decent, but doesnt deserve 20M. Still nothing is worse than 40 for Carrol and 20 for fucking Henderson

Ya, they shouldn't have let him buy his own players in that case.

If Dalglish looked outside the British market, he could have bought some very good players.

I can't believe no one were interested in Vidal except us and Bayern. He costed only €10 mill.

    Chelsea wanted him IIRC.

They will show interest now that he's at Juve. I see clubs offering some crazy money for him in a season or two.
