Pool are so not qualfying for CL this time also.
Probably not, but we're getting closer. This year compared to last is huge progress.

I agree in general with your post, problem is thet spent so much money for a player like Henderson :sergio:

Adam and Spearing are quite mediocre too. But its unfair to Enrique to be grouped with those players, he's a decent fullback imo.
I kind of like Henderson, he's been consistent. Actually shows a bit of talent and work rate unlike Carroll, who's just big. If we had gotten him for 13-15 people would he's a steal.

In Spearing's defense, he is Lucas' back up.

I still cannot see what value Liverpool have by spending over 100 million since last January.
I think there is a solid base from which to build on. With the exception of the Carroll transfer, the others have made the side better. It did cost an arm and a leg. Look how long it took City to get their shit together and they outspent us by double or triple on a yearly basis and without making money from player sales.

People disparaging Henderson should understand that he's been bought for his talent, not for what he brings to the team right now. Hes supposed to be gerrards understudy, sadly gerrard had been injured all season so Henderson had played far more than intended. At the same time, he's clearly improved, and whole he's clearly not the next gerrard, he's a pretty capable player.
Spearing is Lucas's backup, and was developed within the club. No one thinks he's amazing, but he's a decent backup who will only improve with playing time. He's not intended as a starter.

As for Carroll and Adam, yeah they're shit. Can't stand Adam. Downing seems to lack the mentality for a big club. He's a decent enough player, but produces the square root of bugger all. Hell even Carroll might have finished that 1v1!

And one more thing; dalglish works with comolli and the owners to make transfers. Downing for example is a clear comolli transfer.

Who the fuck are Adam, Henderson, Spearing and Jose Enrique? 60m eur for Carrol and Downing?

Such an unattractive team. All the ones I mentioned are players I'd expect to see in Blackburn.
Enrique is an okay player.

Spearing probably has a career as Liverpool's fifth choice midfielder.

Henderson is a nothingy runner.

Adam is shit. Liverpool got caught up in the hype around Blackpool and got done in that deal. Hell, it's not that long ago Aberdeen nearly signed him.

And I feel sorry for Carroll at the moment.

He keeps being the focus of the criticism, but Liverpool's play gives him no chance.

Without good crosses into the box, he's not going to do anything.

And Liverpool are so thick that they put their one natural winger, Downing, on his wrong side for most of the season so that even he can't put decent crosses in.

Dalglish is a populist moron of a coach.

Carroll was 35 million no? :p
35m BP. In euro it was 39.5m.

We're the last ones to laugh considering how we spent ~72m eur for Diego, Melo and Amauri while getting almost nothing in return, but I still think that our spending isn't as bad as spending 92m eur on Carrol, Downing, Adam and Henderson. :howler:

I hate to see new money winning :p

That's why I even if I hate United more than Chelsea, for example, I would rather they own a CL final between the two so Chelsea will stay at zero.
