I agree, in the US it's just like that. How come everyone's a United fan? Because they win and the so called fans don't really give a crap about much. Some don't even watch any games ffs. This guy at school who's a Chelsea fan had no idea they played ManU this week.
You have to differentiate between glory hunting cunts and actual Man Utd fans who attend games.

I'm not saying folk who go to Man Utd games are particularly nice folk, but I wouldn't just treat them the same as some American guy who decided to latch on to Man Utd for no reason other than the fact they are successful.

Some of the Real Madrid ultras have Confederate flags at every match, and sometimes swastikas too.
I know Real are pretty right wing.

When SKY are bigging up Spanish football and slagging off the Italians are their racism, they seem to have forgotten theracist abuse England players took at the friendly in Madrid a few years ago.

Obviously I've nothing against fans who actually care, it's just that a big part of their fanbase over here is ignorant and that's what we're subjected to. The Arsenal fans I've met have been pretty intelligent and into football, must be because they haven't won in forever

Sky just big up whatever they're showing. Andy Gray even said "my job is to promote the Premier League". They still remember that racist abuse when it suits them to though.

Of course not all English fans are scum, but many supporters of the larger clubs are, and that has nothing to do with nationality since you've got Prem fans all across the world. Most Prem fans in this country are particularly dumb shits when it comes to football in general. And since they represent their beloved clubs of United or Arsenal, or what have you, then they set the standard for being judged. You could have seen zero matches in your life and you'd still know that Manure fans are idiots.

Fair do's mate. Speaking about hooliganism. I was at the West Ham v Stoke game on saturday, and the Scum Stoke support left 10min early and were waiting outside for us home fans to exit. And to show how retarded these nothern monkies were they went out on a mini rampage and attacked family west ham fans with kids as it was (kids for a quid day) which means kids for £1. only because they were wearing west ham colours. I mean seriously!!!!! we all know hardcore supporters do not wear colours and they wasnt big enough to go along Barking road where the main support of us hammers drink and hang out after matches. So they decided to pick on anyone who was wearing the claret and blue. Totally ridiculous!!!

Anyways weve got them again this weekend in the FA Cup at theirs and we are bringing just under 5k supporters with us and ive already been on their website and they know they have fucked up with attacking families and know they're in for some ruck afterwards. Im not one of these guys who go out looking for a argument AT ALL. But if push comes to shove..........Well we'll see.

Because of our name West ham a lot of firms still want a piece of us even though most of the times we just get on with it but we've made our bed i guess and planted the seed as they say. Its not like it used to be when i first started attending hammers games in the mid 90's but only on special occassions ie: Millwall does this sort of thing happen.
