Torres would be wasted as a side forward, i think they'll most probably play Drogba and Torres upfront in diamond midfield system.

The offer was rejected i read. I don't think he suits them though, i was surprised to hear them going after him. Despite the fact that he's quite a good player thats having a really good season with Villareal.

Apparently they offered similar cash for Aguero, offered for Forlan, and were rejected.

Ya and for Llorente as well. They're desperate for a striker apparently. But whoever they want to bring, he has to be able to play as a lone man upfront. That's been Defoe's problem this season, he isn't the type of striker who can play upfront alone. Carrol or Llorente would have fit the bill.
