I know. But still, we can't rely on Lampard forever, the guy is already 30+ years old. Carlo probably thought he would be enough because he rarely if ever gets injured, sad mistake. We don't have enough depth and of our 4 midfielders only one can create and he's injured.
I hope so, but still i'm not happy with the way the team has been behaving lately, both in and off the pitch.
Oh and Ramires and Mikel combined are not even half the player Essien is.

It's the same formation and style, different players due to injuries. Out of our 4 midfielders we only had 2 available, so one of our strikers had to play deep. It's been the case on several occasions this season.

I dunno, Roman seems less involved this season, but then again, who would buy? And why would he sell? He doesn't have the need to.
And i doubt he's making all the recent calls, i know he's been trying to form a structure for the club to be sustainable on it's own, that's why we haven't spent a lot of millions like past years and that's something i agree with, what i dislike is the way the issue has been approached. Firing Wilkins for example.
