He did alot of games.

Thats definitely not true. I remember him being played as a left winger at the end of games when Clichy was introduced, but he rarely if ever started a game on the left wing. Moreover the season your talking about was not his last season, it was the one before it, he barely played in his last season with us, he was injured for almost the whole season and played no part in the knockouts of the CL in route to the final(he made it to the final though).

He was a striker when he was young.

I know that, Van Nistelrooy was a goalkeeper when he was young, so what?
