But nobody beat the small teams last season, not Chelsea and not United, had United not slipped up against the likes of Fulham, A.Villa etc, they could have won the league despite losing to Liverpool and losing to Chelsea home and away.
Let's continue in this thread Fred.

Chelsea shouldn't have fucked up against Tottenham, Everton or Man City (at the bridge) either.

Last season the match that decided everything was United vs Chelsea at old trafford.

Ya, sort of my point, if they didn't fuck up against Tottenham, Everton and Man City, they would have afforded to fuck up against United and Arsenal.

Ya, it was a season of ups and downs, the last 5-6 weeks when we had an alarming amount of injuries and ended up playing the last few games with 14-15 players out injured was crazy though, i've never seen anything like it :andy2:

Yeah, i've never seen anything like Fabianski's goalkeeping either :p

Chelsea lost Cech (who always gets injured for CL matches :(), Essien and Bosingwa were out for practically all the season, A.Cole got injured too. J. Cole.. oh well he's somewhat always injured

Rooney and VDS injuries hit united pretty hard imo.

And then there was liverpool who maybe didn't get as much injuries (in numbers) as Arsenal or Chelsea but they suffered injuries on their key players and didn't had enough depth.

One of the highlights of last season was seeing Totthenham get the 4th place ahead of City

This will probably be the most interesting league to watch. Think about it. You'll have 3-4 teams battling for the title (maybe). They 6-7 battling for the top 4. Gonna be a lot of disappointment and controversy.

Hopefully beach balls do not score on my time this year.

Also there was the period where Man United had all their defenders barring Evra out, and had to play with Fletcher and Carrick at the back

Liverpool had Torres and Gerrard out for most of the season too.

Don't get me started on Fabianski's goalkeeping, easily one of the worst keepers i've had the dishonor of watching play for Arsenal.

We had close to 15 players out at one time last year. That ship sucked.

I think only Chelsea and Man U will battle for the title. The real fun for me is watching top teams fail to make the top 4. I don't dislike Pool though. I want City to fail. But yeah, in theory it should be intersting, I just don't enjoy English football generally.

I agree with Aaron that its probably the most interesting league next season. The big four are not a regular fixture anymore, any of them could lose their place.

Depending on what Arsenal do with their goalkeeping situation they could finish anywhere from 2nd to 7th. Liverpool could make a run if everyone stay healthy. Man City could dominate if the players find a common ground and Chelsea and United will be Chelsea and United.

Oh yeah i remember that CL match against Wolfsburg whenCarrick was deployed as CB , too bad they won 3-0, they also lost Owen but that was somehow predictable :shifty:

Aquilani too was injured since his time at Roma.

When i saw Fabianski's goalkeeping i was rather thankful that Chelsea has Hilário (who i don't rate at all but his goalkeeping isn't as awful) and Turnbull who was ok. Personally i would've kept Cudicini :p

Although my EPL knowledge is limited, I predict-
1) Chelsea
2) Man U
3) Arsenal
4) Man :inter: City
5) Tottenham or Liverpool (sorry, but the squad doesn't seem to be improving and I'm skeptical of Hodgson)

Chelsea
Man City
Liverpool
Arsenal

United
Tottenham

Any word on how the new 25 man roster ruling is going to affect teams? I know chelsea and city will have to do some thinking as well as united.
