That's funny until it happens to one of our players.

It's a funny war going on between these two clubs. Barcelona feel that Arsenal stole Fabregas when they offered him a professional contract at the time when Barca couldn't do it. Arsenal feel that Barca is trying to steal Cesc using his desire to come back home.

In the end we get back to the debate about the power of the players over the club. If Cesc wanted Barcelona so much then he could have waited for a year and a half instead of flying to London to sign a professional contract and earn more money. He didn't. He left the club which invested in his development. Now he's trying to do the same to the other club that invested even more in him.
What can the club do in these cases? What's the point of the contract if a player has so much power and can simply refuse to give his best if the team doesn't let him go?
It's funny because it shows how much of cunts those two are, and that goes to almost every Barca player.

CARLES PUYOL has told Arsenal to show Cesc Fabregas some respect and allow him to join Barcelona.
Fabregas, 23, has been the subject of intense interest from the Spanish champions, who had a £29million offer for him rejected last month.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out the possibility of allowing his captain to leave the Emirates.

But Barca defender Puyol — who along with Fabregas was part of Spain's victorious World Cup squad — says the midfielder should be allowed to move back to the club where he started his career in order to win more silverware.

Arsenal have not won a trophy in five years and Puyol, 32, said: "I think Arsenal need to respect his class and show the same class by giving the guy who has given so much to them the move that he and his family want.

"He isn't just being deprived of moving to the best club in the world, more importantly, he is being deprived of coming home.

"He has tried everything to win trophies at Arsenal and when he sees the success so many of his Spanish team-mates are having at Barcelona, it's only natural that he should want to be a part of that."

Speaking to a Sunday newspaper, Puyol added: "Cesc is the future of Barcelona and Arsenal can't do anything to stop that.

"I have just spent six weeks with him and there is only one club he wants to be at."

This has become so annoying, and Barca players/managements/presidents/fans need to show Arsenal some respect. Puyol needs to stfp, how ironic that this cunt is talking about respect, when he doesn't have any. I can't stand Barca
I hope Cesc never leaves Arsenal.

Ibrahimovic plays for Barcelona? :seven:
Well he stands around wearing their shirt, I don't know what that is called though.

Wenger should do the same to them. He should publicly pursue Messi, and instruct his players to say that Messi wants to move to his dream club Arsenal, then Van Persie should come out and say that Barca should let Messi pursue his dream :D

Arsenal and Wenger should soap it and let the man join the team he wants to join.

Stupid Wenger.
What?

You really think we should sell him for 34M?? If he wants to go, he can go, but if and only if Barca are willing to meet our valuation of the player.

In this particular case, Barca feel they have been robbed by Arsenal and they're right, but this is the very same method they and Real Madrid use to buy players when their clubs play hardball with them.

If Juve only had a player who stands around and , in one of his worst seasons, scores 21 goals and makes 10 assists

Indeed, Zlatan had a bad season. What hurts is the difference between Barca and Juve. In Barca an attacker scores or assists 31 goal on 41 matches and he loses his starting XI spot. In Juve Del Piero scores/assists 32 goals on 43 matches in 2008/09 and he's head and shoulders above the other Juve players. One class over them.
Even more, Del Piero and Diego combined last year scored 3 goals less than Zlatan alone and both of them combined assisted 3 more than Zlatan, and they were Juve's best two attacking players.

What a painful difference between the two clubs.

90k is well under what he made a Chelsea. It's a good signing for us, surprising as well. Probably, means Gerrard is going to stay. Figured he'd end up at Arsenal.

Barcelona play an extremely offensive formation, of course Zlatan will score goals. If they put Bojan and played him the same amount of games as Zlatan, he probably would have had a similar record. Fact of the matter is Zlatan was ruining Barca's plays too much last season, which is why at the end of the season, he was benched a few times, even when he was fully fit.

I think there is no argument that Zlatan was just not good enough last season, and the comparison of statistics to DP in 2008-2009 is misleading.
