Why not Pellegrini? Liverpool signing a failure in life who had one good season with a less promosing club. Reminds me of Del Neri to Juve..

Damn, I have to say.. City have one of the best teams in the world. Now I don't know if they can make it happen on the field but the material they're working with is amazing.

Torres odds on to go to City after Liverpool have said they cant guarentee he'll stay. I guess this would leave us for Dzeko.

The market is ridiculous.

Toure is a good player, but he probably isn't worth much more than half that.

Not foolish, when they get beast of a player, overpaying or not, it doesnt mean zip to them. But they DEFENITELY upped the ante with this signing, and Silva.

If he was a really top notch player I could understand it, but he isn't that good, so £28m is a joke, no matter how much money you have. If you go to a Mercedes dealer and offer them £200,000 for a £80,000 car it doesn't mean it is a good purchase just because it is a quality car and you can afford it, it means you have no idea about value.

Silva I think was closer to a fair price, but they only got him for that because of Valencia's financial problems, otherwise they could have turned that down flat. The same for Villa to Barcelona. I don't remember even Chelsea paying prices that stupid for players.

I think he will probably do well as he is a good player, more suited to English football, at times at Barcelona he looked like a bulldog trying to run with greyhounds.

The first rat off the ship would be the Jew. Hope you enjoy sitting on the bench and wondering how you became such a bottler.

Indeed, but you and I know this is good for English football. Our sort of good. They are blowing a massive bubble in inflated wages and transfer fees that will eventually come tumbling down.
