The below table shows the payments made by each Premier League club to agents in the period 1st October 2009 to 30th September 2010.

There were 742 transactions during this period. Not all of these will have attracted an agent's fee. The amounts shown include payments made by clubs on behalf of players.

The Premier League agreed, in June 2008, that from season 2009/10 onwards each club would publish, on 30th November each season, the total amount it paid to authorised agents during the period 1st October of the previous year to 30th September of that year (encompassing the two transfer windows).

Arsenal £3,660,199.00
Aston Villa £2,279.536.50
Birmingham City £1,518,529.09
Blackburn Rovers £1,623,232.92
Blackpool £45,000.00
Bolton Wanderers £3,549,316.72

We didn't sign too many players in the last year. Probably paid to keep Torres and Gerrard and sign Joe Cole.

And then you have Poulsen and PK.

I doubt Shelvey and Wilson's agents command that large of a fee.

Yeah, i've heard that a million times until some team wins it. It's like some members here labeling the EL useless. It's useless to them but if we win the EL, most would celebrate like it was NYE.
That's quite natural though, like the Coppa Italia, once you get to the semis it becomes a good chance of silverware. If you go out earlier as a big team you don't really care that much.

I just find it funny when Man Utd lose like this, Fergie is always championing his young players. It brings back memories of Michael Mifsud at Old Trafford :D His pre-match programme notes were full of how their fans were going to enjoy seeing the stars of the future, then they lose a deserved 0-2 against the fringe players from an average Championship side :D
