Haha the hate is strong in you grasshopper.

Talking about Man U, they possible made quite a coup, they just signed Chris Smalling infront of Arsenals noses (eagerly wanted him, but couldnt match bid), he will come for next season. Arse got Ramsey in similar way.
He's that promising stopper from Fulham, right? Bastards.
Heh, atleast that will end all the fuckery about Chiellini going to xyz.

0-0 against Wolves. Gotta give credit to Wolves where it's due. McCarthy packed the midfield and set the "hack a Maxi" philosophy into effect.

Would've loved to see Aquilani play in this one instead of a rusty Gerrard, but I guess Rafa is saving him for Bolton.

Well, Rafa has probably made the right decision. The fact that Gerrard played only so that Aquilani could rest is what surprised me. I mean Aquilani? Seriously? I'm happy for him though. Hope he proves the doubters wrong.

I'm one of those who want Benitez here :p

I'd be surprised if that was what Benitez was thinking.

If Gerrard is close to be fit, he plays. This means it was probably just a question of who he replaced.

More likely the choice was between Aquilani and Lucas for who was to partner Mascherano.

@Vlatko,

Watched the Tottenham game today. Modric was a class apart today, especially in the first half. His assist for the first goal was really clever.

To think we have some folks that want Rafa here. He'll play Diego in order to save Almiron for an important game.
Yeah, I do want him here. He's better than everybody we have been linked with besides Hiddink, and his history isn't that shabby. People forget that he has a stellar record in Europe and that it's just the league that he's had problems with, but justifiably so. With Chelsea and Manure spending almost limitless amounts of money, it's hard to compete at times. Benitez should have done a little better recently but perhaps a change in scenario is just what he needs.

By all means he's not an incompetent coach.

I think we might see Gerrard dropping deep to play with Mascherano instead of Lucas with Aquilani playing behind the strikers. That way Stevie can have more influence on the play. Alberto was brilliant against Spurs and I can't really figure out why he didn't play today.

Maybe.

I think Benitez will want to try and do what Liverpool did last season (i.e. Aquilani in Alonso's place) to see if that works, before he goes changing things very much.

Though Aquilani has played better in Gerrard's position and Gerrard is useless behind the strikers if no one can give him the ball. Drop him back and make him the creator of his own destiny.

But with Aquilani back there, there should be someone to give him the ball.

It's just when it's Lucas and Mascherano play together the service to Gerrard really dries up.

Aquilani will probably end up with a thigh strain before the next game.Don't worry about Benitez we all have our bad moments.:D

So we should settle because of the bad options? Half of those options are part of media bs & agents trying to make extra commission from their clients joining new teams & increasing demand for them.

I'm not concerned about his record in the CL,his tactics & transfer selections are extremely dodgy. There's another issue of adjustment with him.If we're gonna argue about richer clubs being the reason for not delivering, then we all know that he won't win shit considering inter blow us out of the water in terms of spending.

The only positive that comes to mind is that he could possibly convince players like Torres,Villa,Silva & Agger to join Juve. But we know that aint happening along with money being an issue.
