The boy was in Ronaldo's shadow for years. Ronaldo was the star and Rooney was the one working for the team and for Ronaldo. Eventhough young (18-23) and even though he was more of a team player, he was still scoring his regular 17-23 goals per season (for 5 seasons).
Now that Ronaldo left, not only that Rooney is scoring much more goals (20 so far in all competitions) but he also proved that he has the quality to lead his team, make things happen, which are characteristics of the world class players.

Whoever doesn't rate him high seriously has to learn a lot about football.

Sexist.

When will people stop underestimating Milan? :disagree:
I'm not underestimating them. They are punching above their weight if you ask me. Ever since the return from the break they played 3 very good games no doubt at all about that. But can they sustain it? They run less than any other big team i've watched. When Seedorf plays, you have Seedorf plus the front three rarely tracking back and helping out in defense. They might not be punished for that in the slower tempo of the Serie A, but when they play against a hard working team that can run all day long like United. They will probably be too much for them.

Depends on what you mean by highly. I consider him to be a good player, but a level below world class. To compare him to a guy like Ronaldo is quite silly IMO as the difference is lightyears away.

Players like Ronaldo and Ibra are world class, but Rooney is not. At least at this stage.

Ronaldo and messi are in a world of their own... Ibra is lesser than those two
