No i am not writing anyone of, but there is nothing "exciting" about results like 7-2 and 8-1. I dont even question Sunderland. Just the scoreline.

Actually you guys treat the EPL much more objectively than PL fans treat Serie A. Yesterday i was trying to convince a bunch of Arsenal fans that Zlatan was in fact much better than RVP and that he is at the very least on par with Torres and Drogba.

I hate the way the bad defending is celebrated as "better football" among the lower clubs.

Some of the most special cases think that Messi wouldn't be a good player in the EPL FFS.

I still doubt the folks around here who say the Prem's defending is far better than that of Spain. Just take a look at the league tables for example. The bottom half of the table in England has 9 clubs with 31 goals or more against and three clubs with 40 or more goals against with either 19 or 20 games played. In Spain's bottom half, only four sides have 30 or more goals against after 17 rounds played. In the top five in Spain, no club has let in more than 17 goals, while in England three out of the five top clubs have let in 22 goals or more.

Therefore, statistically, La Liga has slightly better defending than the Prem.

Now when watching the two leagues play, I see similar botch ups in both. But in no way do I see a sheer difference between the standard of defending in both leagues, especially when I watch clubs from the bottom half.

That's why I said statistically speaking. Of course statistics can lie at times. Although I do believe further investigation of this would be fruitful.

But I still don't see any real difference between the two while some Prem folks preach superiority in that area.
