where are all the "man utd are just as good without ronaldo" brigade now ?
AC Milan will knock man utd out, you'll see
I'm enjoying Uniteds bad spell as much if not more than you do.
But lets be realistic here. They are missing 8 senior defenders, yes 8. That would be enough to make any team go through a bad patch of form.
They have Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, Brown, Rafael, G.Neville and O'Shea injured.
Imagine if Juve had Cannavaro, Chiellini, Caceres, Legro, Grygera, Molinaro, Zebina and Ariaudo injured. Then you'd get the picture.
And even in their current form and current squads, I wouldn't bet a penny on Milan eliminating Manchester.
This Milan was humiliated 0:4 against Inter, they couldn't beat Zurich, and even lost at home, and the only worthy thing they did this year were the 45 minutes in Madrid against a Ronaldo-less Real Madrid, with a bunch of newbies who didn't even know each other well.
Don't forget that United are missing their whole defense and had to have a CB pairing of Carrick and Fletcher at times, that would have been destructive for any team in the world.
Well obviously a striker is the number one priority but a solid DM is crucial, that's gonna give Cesc much more room to breath.

Number one priority imo
I don't think Wenger will go for a DM. I think he'll put his faith in Song and Denilson.
Too bad this is most probably true as well.

They gave Hughes ample time. With the amount of money they have invested, they expect returns. The coach failed to meet the targets and he had to leave. Don't make it sound like City is the devil here. And you underrate Mancini. He's not a great coach, but he's definitely better than Hughes.
Completely agree. Hughes was given a lot of time and he just didn't deliver. I was surprised that they appointed him in the first place, its not like he was a manager with a proven track record or anything.
