I'm seriously surprised Torres played and we got such a result. Should be a big boost to the confidence. It's a shame we're only playing for pride.

Didn't Mascherano get sent off as well?
That's not my point, though he definitely deserved the red, as did Vidic.

Guys like Lucas and Carragher well allowed to commit a hell of a lot of fouls without getting booked, whereas Berbatov and Evra were booked for relatively little.

I'm not claiming it would have changed the game or anything.

I didn't get to see the match, only watched the ticker, so I didn't really have a way to judge the severity of the fouls.

Well, could definitely have given more yellows to Liverpool, but his overall performance was pretty good. Definitely was calling too many fouls on Lucas, but overall he was generous to us, and definitely could have given Carra a red. Granted, at that point I don't think it would have changed anything.
Great result, we played quite well, manu had a couple chances, but were as poor against a big side as I said they would be. Nice goal from Torres, Masch and Vidic get their customary cards, absolutely thrilled now

Its games like these that show you why Arsenal won't win the league this season. Two games in a row, our complacency gets the better of us. Too many individual mistakes.

Eboue, Diaby and Arshavin were the biggest culprits. They basically stopped running and closing down in the second half.

West Ham were hard done by, Parker's second yellow was a joke. It should have been a foul in West Ham's favor actually.

thank god Liverpool beat United today. What a game they played today. They played at such a frentic pace, United just couldn't keep up with them.

Torres is such a world class striker, that first touch to take it away from Rio and then the finish under pressure is testament to that. Oh what i'd do to have a striker like that at Arsenal.

Btw, i really admire C.Cole. Another great game by him today. He is so strong on the ball, very good in the air, he's really fast, he's decent technically, he can hold the ball up well really effectively, his off the ball movement is good and his finishing isn't that shabby either.

I have no doubt in my mind that he deserves an England call up

Diamanti looks like the real deal too. He completely turned the game in West Ham's favor when he came on. Scored the penalty and assisted the first goal.

That player is pretty amazing
