NO MORE FOOTBALL FOR SUPPLE

Ipswich have confirmed goalkeeper Shane Supple has had his contract cancelled to pursue a career outside football.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international only signed a new deal to stay at Portman Road this summer but has decided to leave the game after 38 appearances for the club.

The 22-year-old said: "It's something I have been thinking about for a long while.

"It's obviously a big decision but I feel that playing professional football is not something I want to continue doing as a career. Deep down my heart is not in the game anymore.

"I have fallen out of love with the game and I'd always said if that happened I wouldn't hang around.

"When I was younger all I wanted to do was play in the Premier League but as you grow up you realize there are other things in life and the game is not what I thought it was. People probably think I'm crazy but I'm not going to stay in the game for anyone else."
Bizarre.

Why is it ignorance? its a big decision, and as he says did it because he doesnt enjoy it or see it as something he wants to do anymore. Yes, would been much easier to do it for the heck of it, the easy life, but giving it up despite that is bit coragous decision.

I read of similar case of a Porthsmouth forward who was an U21 England NT player, suddenly just going awol and then announcing to the club and everyone he doesnt want to be a footballer anymore, his heart isnt it anymore and finds it disillusioned experience. Packed off to Australia to surf/trekk, and then to eventually work for the Brittish govts tourist department or such.

But the thing is he isn't shit. It's not like he didn't have a future in the game.
Shit or not,he's still a moron.I mean if he really wants to do something else he could do it part time. Its not like having a 9-5 with little or no perks. If he wanted to travel extensively then id understand but he will regret his desicion for sure.

The conclusion: If you have no debt, you win.

Juventus also have no debt, right? :weee:
