I feel really sorry for Aaron Ramsey, the kid is at the start of a bright career and this had to happen to him of all people. I hope him a speedy recovery.

We really showed character today, especially after the Ramsey incident. Good signs really. We seem to struggle a lot against the bigger teams but do well against the smaller ones. Man Utd showed us last season that you can win the league by beating the smaller teams.

Thanks mate, i missed this, had to go to a friend to watch the game. Thanks very much anyway.

Another positive from this game is Clichy's performance, he was an absolute beast today and dealt with everything Stoke threw our way. He was like a leader after the injury, rallying the likes of Vermaelen on, he did really well and was agressive and used his pace to his advantage. I just hope he continues this way, because i know he can play well when playing to his full potential.

I hope Ryan Shawcross dies in a car crash, absolutly disgusting fucking player. He rolls around after a brush in the face from Adebayor and does this to someone. Fucking die Shawcross you piece of shit.

He did show some regret and remorse though, unlike that cunt Taylor. But it was a stupid, careless and mis-timed challenge regardless, and it would only happen in the EPL. Its no coincidence these things don't happen in leagues like the Italian, Spanish or German. The FA needs to do something about these kind of teams and this style of football as frankly it has caused too many players career threatening injuries

Arsenal have 3 breaks in 5 years. Quite frankly there not protected enough Cesc was right in watch he said after the game. Regardless of remorse he certainly should not of gone in so high. I stand by my statements either he gets his career ended or he just gets killed.

Pretty balanced argument. Shawcross was in tears after the incident.

Wenger with his usual response: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Wenger-hits-Ryan-Shawcross-horror-tackle.html

I think that the PL definitely do need to look at how lunging tackles are dealt with. In Italy those sort of tackles are not as common and as such there are rarely injuries like this. The pace of the game in England is also a big issue, and for teams like Arsenal who play a fluid passing game that draws lots of fouls it has become a big problem now. In Spain teams like Barcelona are protected and you aren't allowed to be physical with them.

Wasn't really any malice in the challenge, they both went for the ball and it was unlucky enough to be timed just when Ramsey had his studs in the turf. Just a freak accident.

Shawcross was in tears so what? he was rolling around on the floor like a 3 year old after the Adebayor incident. I refuse to support England with that scumbag in the team aswell. So Capello fuck you.

3 similar incidents in 5 years indeed. It is not a coincidence and something should be done. I am not saying there is some sort of consipiracy or something like that against us, but EPL teams come into the Arsenal game extra aggressive with the intention and belief that they can kick us out of the game. The FA should do something about these tackles tbh.

As for Shawcross it was a stupid tackle indeed, and i agree that there is no point in showing remorse after a career threatining injury like today's. But frankly i think there was no malice in it, just carelessness and pure stupidity.
