tevez is argentinian, but rooney in the last 2 years had increased his creativity, he has a lot of assists, maybe because fergie played him a lot as an ss. In terms of taking players on and in terms of close ball control Tevez wins. But in terms of finishing*, hard work, link up play, vision and shooting, Rooney is the better player.

* Even though finishing is not one of Rooney's strong points he is still a better finisher than Tevez
