Top 5? you're kidding me right?
Not at all. Drogba, Torres, Villa, Ibra ... and Rooney too can arguably make for the list.

Drogba, Torres, Villa, Ibra, Eto'o, Milito, Anelka, ... Aguero, Luis Fabiano, Higuain, Pato ... I'm really running out of proper names here. Rooney is easily making for the top 10.

I do think so yes. You count Aguero and Pato as Strikers but not Messi? Strange.
Even if you also count Messi and Ronaldo in, saying that "Rooney can arguably make for the top 5" shouldn't make you think I'm kidding you.

And Robinho/Tevez being better than Rooney? You must be a Man City fan, eh? :D

Me? hehe I would not be in a Juventus forum if I were would I?:) Perhaps sometimes my hatred for Rooney can make me doubt him but from watching him I clearly do not see the hype that surrounds him. He is a very good player but thats it.

Bah, we've got Fred, Burke and Aaron here ffs :D

I know how undeserving hype around a matter can be annoying and Rooney is sure not the player English media are making out, but he's still better than only "a very good player" and he's also definitely better than Tevez and Robinho :D

King Ale, Nick is sensible in general except the topic of Rooney :D I mean, he said Defoe is better then Rooney, so him saying players who are better and more talented Defoe being so too, isnt suprising ;)

Ok let me do some analysis, firstly Fulham have been very very well prepared for this match tactically. From an organizational stand-point they've been flawless even with little minute details such as double marking Drogba on the far post because he likes to move into that space. Positional wise Fulham have been good too, all the players have been tracking back. Also, considering that they're missing their best defender in Hangeland it's been impressive. And John Mensah deserves a mention specifically for raping Drogba for the entire first half, greatness.

Too bad, all that meant nothing in the second half.

Btw, Drogba is having probably(at least for me) his best season ever.

Yup, sometimes people's judgment is clouded by a media's constant overrating of a player.

Tevez is definitely not better than Rooney. Robinho has been extremely poor this season and has never really played well conisistenly for a whole season, he hasn't really fulfilled his "potential". I think Rooney has been more proven than Robinho.

Ya, normally a level headed, smart poster whom i always like to read his posts. But his opinions on Shrek reek of bias :p

Robinho has hardly been given a run out this season. Last season certainly showd who the better player was, and that was Robinho.

Robinho never showed up after December. He had a strong start to the season and faded out gradually as the season passed by. Thats the inconsistency i was talking about earlier. Rooney was the better and more consistent player last season IMO.

As for this season, Robinho has been injured, but ever since he's been back from injury he has been City's worst player. Utterly shambolic performances against the likes of Chelsea and Stoke. He does not deserve to be playing ahead of the on form Bellamy this season.
