You might have seen him two seasons ago Eazy, am i right?

He had a very good season in 2007-2008. But he was poor for last season. I don't know it's still a big risk even though he is the type of player we need. Needless to say, he's a huge downgrade from Melo. So I'm disappointed regardless.

Anyway, he's a player thats small in stature, but is strong enough in the challenge, has bags of stamina and is a decent enough tackler. Have my reservations on how comfortable he is on the ball, as he can lose it quite quickly with his rash passing and poor decision making, but hopefully Arsene can iron those out. Of course he isn't a player that would bring immediate results, as he still has some development to do(surprise surprise.)

quite similar. Momo did show some improvement in his passing in the last few games before he got injured, i'd say Matuidi is like the new improved Sissoko(in terms of passing of course)

Agreed on him this past season, its funny, how decisive the hype of one season can be, was rating him quite a bit before last season, and the games I have seen last season of them (generally arent so nice to watch anymore, the whole team), Matuidi has been rather woeful and bit erratic.

Defenitely not ready to start for a top team at all IMO. Though is atleast the right type of position...

Ya, he's better than having no DM. But i still can't get over losing on Melo. Might be the decisive factor come the end of the season.

you're right about St Etienne not being fun to watch anymore. The season before last, it was a joy watching the front 4 of Gomis, Ilan, Dmitri Payet and Feindouno(especially) weaving their magic. They really were an entertaining team. Very disappointing last season.

Thought getting Matsui (fun player) would make things more interesting, but I guess Feindouno was even bigger wizard then I thought when they get really dire without him.

True that. Matsui is a fancy player, but he isn't really what i'd call effective. He was always a joy to watch when he was with Le Mans though.

Le Mans too had a really entertaining team two seasons ago. Sessegnon(Who was an absolute joy to watch with PSG last season), Matsui and Gervinho were a fancy trio to watch.

Matuidi The Melo replacement? :D
Oh bugger off. I knew you of all people would be here to throw your one liner sarcastic comments :faq1:
