I am well aware that they all cost next to nothing, but do you think they went to bolton of all places, to be paid peanuts???? Not at all...They were paid heftily. So to suggest that big sam had far less money that Hughes at blackburn, doesn't quite hold water...Maybe i am wrong, but I doubt it in this case. Formerly world class players, DONT head to the likes of Bolton, unless they are being paid extremely well for the suffering...

But its not like Hughes was settling for less there as well. He got players like McCarthy, Santa Cruz even Pederson and Neil who am guessing were not getting paid peanuts as well.

Debatable i reckon, roque was already in Bayern while Benni was in Porto and not necessarily washed up as the others were so i'd they say they would have some big contracts or at least equal to the others. Also don't forget that Hughes already paid big money for them (more than 10m if am not mistaken).
