Actually that's a rather good move by City. Barry and De Jong in the center of midfield along with attacking midfielder Ireland will make a decent midfield trio.

Fred, is this the season when Arsenal will really push for the title? You have been very unconvincing for years now. Was is it this ending season or previous when you where winter champs and then lost some crucial points.

That was last season. We were on top till mid February and we played some breathtaking football. It was a good team we had that season, but we lacked depth. Injuries to the Flamster, Rosicky, RVP and Eduardo and our season was done. IMO if we had kept the Flamster and Hleb, added Arshavin, bought us cover at DM and a quality centerback we would have been competing this year.

Now our offense is good enough if we kept our players, but we desperately need a defensive midfielder with strong ball winning capabilities. To a lesser extent we need a quality centerback too. If we make those two signings and kept our starting players, we might have a shot at the title next year.

What's happening with Eduardo?

Niggling muscle injuries, the lad hasn't stringed three injury free weeks ever since he has come back from injury. It's a shame really, as he got injured last season when he was beginning to adapt to the team. Imo he offers us something different upfront, he offers us another dimension in offense. He is a better finisher than both RVP and Adebayor, and his off the ball movement helps facilitate our attack better.

If you keep Fab. Good thing Perez isn't eyeing him up like Barcelona.
When Barcelona really want Cesc, they will get him. Imo there is no two ways about it. Thank god they don't need him at all for now.

Which 69.8M of it will go to repay :gsol: Stadium Debts :gsol: and the other 0.2M will go to signing a 3 year old replacement from some exotic country in Africa.

If i had my way, no thanks.

If Barry signed for city, this means that Rafa may block Alonso's move to Real as he wanted to get Barry earlier.

Barry has one year left on his contract, 11M for a player that could leave for free next summer, isn't that bad actually.
