The FA offered to schedule the game on Saturday but Sir Purple Face decided against it, because Tevez was his only fit striker and he wouldnt have reached on time if they played on Saturday.
I guess if they win the league it will have proven to be the right decision.

Hard choice to make though.

Fergie didn't think that Porto could be such a challenge. They barely had two days to recover from their EPL match and it cost them in CL. He'll probably regret it.
He would have had to face Villa without a first choice striker, players stilled tired from international duty and with less time to prepare for the game.

Considering the fact that they only just won that game, I think the decision a correct one, because if they hadn't then Zliverpool would definately have been fancying their chances to win the league. For United (especially against Liverpool) the ELP is the priority.

see i disagree on that, Sir Beetroot face knows that winning a 3rd CL would put him up there with the greatest managers ever.,maybe not the best tactician, but in terms of man management and trophies won he certainly would.
i seriously doubt that they care who is challenging them for the EPL,the CL is their main priority as i am sure it bugs manure more that liverpool have won more european cups than liverpool worry about manure catching them on league titles

I see your point, but knowing Liverpool fans and Man Utd fans: the title has become their personal battle and crowing rights would last a year.

it all depends on Arsenal now, with games against the top 3,they will have the biggest say in the title destination. chelsea may have dealt pool a huge psychological blow or caused pool to completely focus on their title charge

Utd will win the League: Fergu is an expert at that: Arsenal will suffer injuries and because of their lack of depth struggle, Chelsea will be second.

Utd, I start to think, will also beat Porto.

Barça will win the CL

Barca is winning the CL they're going to reach the final and beat us 3-0. Liverpool will choke come the end of the season and draw easy games at home which will win Man Utd the league. Chelsea will lose to Barca in the semi's by a penalty shootout, then Alen will come out and say they were lucky, Andy will stick it to everybody's faces and i'll just be dissapointed we have to play Barca in the final. Despite that Chelsea will catch up with the Pool in the league and get 2nd place. Chelsea is also going to beat us in the FA Cup semis by an extra time Drogba goal, they'll play United in the FA Cup and win that game too.

Thats the scenario for this season, mark my words on that. :D
