Andy you should screw Mamić instead, Luka just wanted to get the hell out off the crap leauge that he played in , it was not his desire to go to Tottenham
I thought Modric was happy to sign on with Tottenham because a former Croat player told him they had a great atmosphere? I remember seeing an interview with Modric but I forget who told him to go there; perhaps it was Stanic.

well of course he was happy , wouldn't you be if you were a professional footballer and went from a club like Dinamo Zagreb to Tottenham.

Modric made a wrong choice like I was afraid. Fool. He should've gone to Arsenal.

Do you really think it up was up to him where will he go , i don't think so.

It was only a question of where he will end up in England because only the English sides could have paid what was asked for him, so yeah, I think he could have forced his way to Arsenal. They were very interested. Perhaps they offer wasn't as good but something could have been arranged.

Of course. It's a big step up from HNL but if you have to choose from England at least choose the club that is fighting for something. Tottenham is only a good side on paper, in reality they're shite. They do have the potential but they will never realise it. Not everything is lost though, he can move on if things don't go well for him.

That is true , but as long as Mamić is in charge of transfers at Dinamo the players will always be sold to the highest bidder, if Arsenal wasn't willing to pay what was asked for him i don't think Luka could do much about that

Arsenal would have been the better choice, sure, but give him time. The EPL is a huge step forward, especially in the physical aspect. Take Biscan for example, he couldn't handle the trainings alone in Liverpool for the first full season and he was a lot more capable physically than Modric. The boy needs time to adopt, he would have needed it in Arsenal as well.

if spurs could get the balance of their midfield right(ie-buy a DM) they do have some splendid talent there, however they are not playing a system that suits them and they are badly in need of someone to close the back door when everyman goes rampaging forward

ramos is hardly showing himself to be tactically astute, either that or he badly underestimated the blood and thunder style that the premiership thrives on

Luka was going to be a hit in serie A. Such a shame the money's in England now because that's the league that does not suit him at all.

I finally started to accept what Arsenal did to my betting coupons. I decided to invest more money this weekend and go for the lower odds and back the favorites.
Those idiots destroyed me. In these situations i'm so sorry that god doesn't exist. Because if he did exist all Arsenal players would have died in terrible plane accident.
It's my fault i took them, though. I should have known better not to trust brainless monkeys like Bendtner, Sagna and Toure.

They could probably use a striker too.

Definitely agree with you Bobby. Ramos completely forgot that every successful team in the EPL has a great DM to anchor the squad and take pressure off the creators. That said, not have a decent DM is no excuse for a squad of their caliber. They should at least be top 8 with that squad..

You should bet more for your pleasure and entertaining than for earning the money ;) and you won't be so disappointed

aye for sure mate, bent was never gonna be the answer and pavlyuchenko will need time to adjust to the english game...and training more than 1 hour every few days

oh agreed ginge,he bought players just for teh sake of it. i mean why buy corluka for RB when hutton was sensational for them (yes he is currently injured) why buy giovanni and modric when someone with a bit of grit was required, etc we could go on but if spurs don't look at adding some steel to their team there season will dissapear down the shitter.

We're not having a good season at all. we needed a late Fabregas header to get a draw against Sunderland. Arsene got it all wrong. playing both cesc and van persie out of position. Cesc was played behind the lone striker(adebayor) where he was overcrowded and always received the ball with his back to the defender. Cesc needs to play deep imo and pull all the strings, especially with both denilson and song unable to pass the ball if their darn lives depended on it.

and there should be a law passed that states that Van Persie should never be allowed to play on the wing, its a fuckin crime wasting his talent there.

You guys should have bought Poulsen from what I've seen...

Or just somebody who can partner Cesc and do the defensive job in midfield.
