But as a backup striker Anelka is more than good enough, sure he's not good enough to be a starter, but i cant think of many teams with backup strikers like Anelka in their ranks.

you don't have to look TOO far ;)
Yes Juve are one of the very few teams with a better backup striker

sorry fred I don't rate him at all, I'm just going to agree to disagree here.
I dont rate him that highly too, that wasnt my point. my point was that as a backup striker he's not bad. I mean i would personally take him over Robbie Keane, Manucho or Bentdner any day of the week and twice on the sundays. wouldnt you?

Lavezzi is on Chelsea's list.. but who know. The Drog is irreplacable. He is at his prome. Sad he's injured and has to be put away ..

Yep Carragher long ball to Torres all the time, they will go through a bad patch and won't win the league thats for sure. They will finish 4th again.
Wrong. We'll finish no better than 6th. City is bound to catch a striker in January and the Vilians look poised to take the next step.

I prefer robbie keane, only just.
Bentder is behind in a longer pecking order at your club,

Anelka is ok, I don't think he is championship material, at the most a team challenging top four, he never was mr consistency, yes he does score goals but he also fucks up a massive amount of easy chances too, look at his goal vs villa at the weekend, he has to wait for a rebound, this is not good enough to be 2nd striker at Chelsea, if I was a fan of theirs I would thank god they only play with 1 striker.

I'm with Ahmed on this one, Chelsea's squad just seems so strong. Their only problem is a lack of strikers, if Anelka and the Drog get injured at the same time, Chelsea are in big trouble.
tbh i thought of all the big teams chelsea's capture of deco was the signing of the sumemr, his creativeness and passing ability will make them fearsome this year

agree about the consistency part.

Theres no way Keane is better than him btw, but we'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

I think Bosingwa has made the difference, he is what they missed, he can completly cover the right hand side and be that extra man in attack.

Definitely. Imo the only thing they were lacking in the past few years was a bit of imagination and creativity in midfield. Something Deco offers in abundance.

No doubt. That is probably the most fearsome midfield in the world. Deco, Essien, Lampard, Cole. With supporters like Mikel, Malouda and Kalou. That's damn scary.

definately, they always had goals with lampard, they have drive with essien and ballack and now they have the guile and vision that deco will bring. for me that was probably the best possible recruitment that chelsea could have purchased and i think that the final piece of the jigsaw is now in place for them

without a doubt the most complete midfield in world football:agree: not to forget ballack
