Are you trying to forget the laughing stocks made of themselves by The Pool?
The one involving a £20 million pound flop of a striker (managers a great man motivator) and subsequent loss of £5 million?
every club fucks up transfers, even big ones like Keane. I think Keane was a case where everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. Even though it was annoying to see a striker accomplishing so little on the pitch, I respect Keane (although less than before) and I do think that the whole Parry/Benitez problem had something to do with this.

Perhaps Keane should have tried to put on a Spanish accent to get the support of his manager.

It has been and is even more a huge guffaw for all save poolites.

Oh come on now, they buy a player for £20 million and sell him back to the same club they bought him from for £12 million six months later!

That has got to be worthy of a stick your head in between these two planks, you are the offical town idiot award.
You think that tops Man City's shelling out of record cash to prepare for a relegation battle?

Really now, you're just blowing the situation out of proportion. Probably because the re-sell occurred during the same season of the original purchase.

How much did Madrid pay for Woodgate and Owen? How much did they sell them for?
Liverpool were smart enough to cut their losses with Keane instead of waiting out and suffering more losses later on.

And guess what, they're still second in the league.

well, the players really should have done better, benitez's outburst was not the ranting of a mad man as many outlets tried to portray, as benitez is the last person to do anything with out thinking it out. the problem was that the players failed to respond, got kicked off the field at stoke, and despite mostly dominating wigan and everton, dropped silly points

That's what is so funny in six months they lose £8 million.

And let's be honest about it Keane was treated
shockingly by the manager: I can't remember the last time a player was so badly mismanaged.

Oh, I think second it will stay, but even that is up for grabs.
