i think you mean the Brazil squad of 1970! the team he won the world cup with in 58 was good but not great,it took some genius from pele to win that final,by 62 he had a much better team around him but in 66 pele got kicked out of the tournament and brazil ahd no-one to fill the void.
the 1970 WC squad was perhaps the best international squad ever,but that was it,he didn't have that quality of squad with him through the previous world cups. pele was a genius and is it sucha pity that so many write off his achievements so readily
