I see that Mancini was at Anfield.

I assume that was just to watch Liverpool ahead of the CL tie, rather than looking at a signing target?

On a more serious note,i FINALLY watched Eduardo play today and i was EXTREMLEY impressed. But hasnt he been a late bloomer? He's 24,and he's creating waves now.Anyway,i liked him a lot. That chance he created moving in from the left flank after going through a Fulham defender was brilliant.
Late bloomer? I don't think so.. He's been kept in Dinamo for a little too long but has been playing superbly for them for well over 3 years. Not to mention he's been hugely succesful for the NT in the last year and a half. I would call him a late bloomer if he was in England for 2,3 years already and just now started producing, but this is his first season abroad and he's already starting to show his real worth.

Yes he really is proving to be a big player for us..
Indeed, not only scoring but creating some nice goals with terrific passes. Link me to his assist against Fulham, I can't find it.

I was talking about making it big on a top class league actually.TBH,i hadnt heard anything about him before he moved over to Arsenal(which could be down to my ignorance too:D).And i was always under the impression that he was this raw teenager when Arsenal signed him.So i was kinda surprised to find out that he's already 24.He's still a pretty good player though. The Brazilians must hate you:D

Well it's not down on your ignorance, our leauge is not too exposed in the world.

I don't think the Brazilians care, they have hundreds of players like him and only a few make it. I don't think he'd be the player he is today if he had stayed in Brasil, especially if he had persisted on making it in Brasil's NT. This way he came here as a teenager, 16 years old I think, and was slowly moulded into a fine player. He didn't have the pressure, he had it easier to fight for a place and most of all he had a future on the international stage with us. Brasil is a different story, players like Jardel or Amoroso hardly ever featured on the international stage. Croatia has a few quality talents, Brasil has hundreds, Eduardo cought a small break and made the most of it. His story is really a remarkable one, he came here dirt poor, practically without shoes on his feet. Look at him now, Croatia, the place where dreams come true. At least for Brasilians. :D

Gillette and Hicks are ruining team morale with the drama between them and Rafa.
yes that is true... they have done more bad than good for the team...which is why i dont want foreign ownership for Arsenal...i cant imagine the same uncertainty in Arsenal and with Wenger..

sure thing mate...btw in the second half Eduardo was converted to the left..while Hleb took the playmaker position and Rosicky went to the right...i for one hate it when Wenger puts Eduardo there..its such a waste as he is the most natural finisher in our team...but in this case it payed off(notice how he created the goal from the left)

Whoah, that's some accelaration by Eduardo there, good(lucky) cross and a great reaction by Rosicky.

Tell me about it, putting him on the wing is totally limiting his impact on the pitch, he's a natural forward with a great eye for goal. There's no place for him on the wing.

BTW, do you know how many games he started this season and how many goals he scored? Assists he's on what 3,4? All in all I think he's gonna end up with one solid EPL debut season.

He's started 9 games and came in 4 times as a sub..he's scored 3 and assisted 4 goals...Premiership only.

I agree..it looks like a good debut season for him...especially in cup competitions where he's already scored 8 goals in the CL and Carling Cup

Those are some fine numbers, I reckon they're gonna get higher as the season reaches its final. Do you think he can hit 10 Premiership goals at the end?
