I've heard of him and he has a very good goalscoring record...but i've never seen him play...could you give me just a small briefing about what his main strengths\weaknesses are??..curious because we bought him with the same amount of money we sold Henry with.
I've talked about him and Luka Modric(another Croatian youngster who's got a lot of potential) quite a few times on this forum. Anyway here goes..

You bought a good player with a lot of potential, he's 24 and I feel he still hasn't shown all he's got. Because of that I'm glad he joined Arsenal, though I was hoping he'd leave for a less demanding leauge, perhaps to PSV in the Eredevise. Anyway I'm sure Wenger will suck out every last bit of talent out of him, and he has that in abundance.

As a player, he's a box striker, though not a typical one like Trezeguet for example. He can hold the ball at his feet and dribble with ease, that said bare in mind our leauge is piss poor and the defenders are of low quality. He has some similarities with Henry, mainly his speed(though not as fast as Henry) and eye for goal. Henry likes to go search for the ball deeper while Da Silva likes to get it as his feet, preferebly in the 16m. He's a clinical finisher and rarely misses a goal opportunity. Once again, our leauge is piss poor so his incredible goals per game ratio should be taken with a pinch of salt.

If the reported sum of 6m pounds(there's no chance in hell the reported 24mil euro price is true) is correct I think you got yourself a good deal who won't disapoint you. Main thing is that he's slowly moulded into the team, once he starts playing I'm sure he'll find his way around. The only thing that could maybe cause a problem for him IMO is fitness, our leauge is much weaker and the fintess level is much lower, he'll need to work on that.

No way man, lot of sources indicate something different but there's just no way it's over 10mil euro. We'll have to wait for something official but I'm pretty sure. ;)

i knew it, while media was questioning if arsenal will buy torres or tevez or get anelka back, wenger has another player in mind.

From what i have seen from cro games, this guy has great potential, might be a good deal for arsenal. a very good one. Better than getting anelka back imo.

Nay,Henry has scored 20+goals almost every season with Arsenal...If Eduardo can do half what Henry did for Arsenal,i'll be very very very happy;)

babel is poo, he has never impressed me for ajax and nor for the holland national side
i havent seen much of him..but every time i see him,he strikes me as a lazy player that goes missing too much in a game..But in terms of talent..IMO he's an extremely talented player..maybe Wenger can get the best out of him,

MORE SIGNINGS FOR ARSENAL
So what now for Arsenal after the acquisition of Eduardo? Is that it for the summer?

The Guardian says 'no': 'The signing of Eduardo does not signal the end of Wenger's attempt to rebuild Arsenal's attack and he is understood to still be interested in Bolton's Nicolas Anelka and Newcastle's Obefemi Martins.'

The Sun also says 'no': 'Eduardo's old side Dinamo Zagreb claim Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is plotting another raid - for £5m-rated midfielder Ognjen Vukojevic.'

And so does The Independent: 'Wenger, who was at Wimbledon yesterday, is now expected to step up his interest in Auxerre full-back Bakary Sagna.' An almost identical claim can be found in The Times, too: 'Wenger, who has returned after a holiday in Italy, will strengthen the squad further when he tries to complete the signing of Bakari Sagna, the defender, for about £6.2 million from Auxerre this week.'

Gawd only knows why the Gunners require another full-back.

Incidentally, somebody at Arsenal appears to have briefed the papers that Eduardo cost around £8m, rather than the £16m claimed by Zagreb.

v, is that other guy good as well?

trust me da silva will score at least 14 this season, and will get that 20+ from there on this guy is lethal a natural goalscorer, i think he will surpass henry's goalscoring rate, ive seen alot of this guy, and u know me, im a critic for most players who most rate, but arsenal have undoubtedly made the signing of the summer, and liverpool go buy torres who i believe will be the flop of the season along with bent

But you see reaching Henry's goal scoring rate isnt all that easy..He's the biggest goalscorer in the clubs history..And he's one of the Cl's top scorers of all time...I havent seen this kid to judge on him obviously..But he's got to be really special to be better than Thierry.

Tevez is apparently close to signing for Manure. The fucktards need an all out finisher, and Tevez is anything but.i hope they DO sign Tevez and Sir Red Face ends up destroying his formations.

League may block Tevez move

The Premier League will block Carlos Tevez's proposed move to Manchester United if they are not satisfied the transfer fee will go to West Ham.

Widespread reports on Thursday suggested United are leading the chase to sign the Argentine star and that talks over a move to Old Trafford are well underway.

Tevez is considering his future, with West Ham United hoping to hang on to the Argentine after his influential end to last season.

He has suggested he is looking to join a big club over the summer, but any move to Manchester United could be blocked by the Premier League.

West Ham claim they own the registration of Tevez after the league accepted in April that the club had terminated all agreements with the player's agent Kia Joorabchian.

The Premier League are planning to keep an eye on any transfer for Tevez to ensure that West Ham keep their promise of owning his registration.

A Premier League spokesman said: "As far as we are concerned any deal to take Carlos Tevez away from West Ham has to be done directly with the club."

Tevez, who is currently away on international duty at the Copa America, has been linked with a number of clubs including United, Real Madrid and Internazionale.

The classy forward says he has received no offers for his services as yet, but that he was flattered by the interest from some of the top clubs in Europe in him.

As far as I am aware, I have not received any official offers," Tevez told Argentine newspaper Clarin.

"Once an offer arrives then we will see. But the fact that Real Madrid, Internazionale and Manchester United are interested in me makes me proud
