your coach attacked another team's coach! and guess who was the bigger man after the game which ur team lost ? not ur coach.
Not in the slightest and quite ill informed actually.
The bigger man was certainly not the one who encroached his opponents area first or the one making a song and dance of a handshake before the game because he needed to look good in front of the cameras after making xenophobic comments about the opposition back in March.
Wenger arrived at Upton Park 30mins early to smooth things over with Pardew. Pardew having spoken to Wenger and shaken hands then continued to make a big deal about offering a hand to Wenger just before the game; nicely in shot of the Sky tv cameras. You'll find that is what Wenger is talking about in his quote after the Liverpool game:
'I am not an image man, and do not need the cameras to say what I think. I do not work here for my image - I work for my club and to win football games.'
Some other things went on during the game and as I already said you will find out what Pardew said to get Wenger so riled in a couple of weeks at the FA tribunal.
It is also worth noting that the handshake Wenger 'turned down' at the end of the game was actually directed at Pat Rice who did actually turn it down.
Maybe they felt thay had shaked hands enough already that day and didn't fancy another false one so Pardew could look good for the cameras.
That isn't to say that we aren't bad losers (quite the opposite actually), but on this one, Pardew was very much in the wrong.
