Vancouver Island is a hipster place? Could have fooled me, my friend. I never meet any other hipsters here. My community is little and filled with seniors, hippies, rednecks, and first nations... unless you're referring to the "angel-haired hipsters" from the Ginsberg's 1955 poem Howl?

Now across the Strait of Georgia in Vancouver, that's the modern hipster kingdom.

You're not making it any better.

City fans think they can sign Alaba, Pogba and Messi and we think signing the Isco's or the Götze's of this world is impossible. Got to give it to them for being optimistic.

And these guys are pundits. I bet Pogba would LOVE that deep CM role  Bless Steve Howey and his 4-4-2, he still thinks it's 1995 and Newcastle are about to make a title challenge.

Sometimes you wonder what must be the age of these pundits mentally. Sky is doing a good thing though hiring these mentally challenged football "experts".

Why would any of those players take the step down ?
I can't think of any reason.

True. BTW do they give you a reason why your visum is denied?
Ya, they gave me a few bullshit reasons about my application. But in reality the chance of it being rejected was always quite big, because in general people who come from war-torn countries especially in the Middle East, almost always get rejected when applying for an American or British tourist visa. Probably because they're afraid we wouldn't leave or something, which is frustrating really for two reasons; because I never actually lived in Libya; I've been living abroad all my life. And there's no chance I'd try to seek asylum or something like that, my family lives here in the UAE and I have a pretty decent job.

They did you and your wallet a favor
I've absolutely no interest in visiting the UK other than going and watching an Arsenal game; I'd planned to apply for two visa's anyway; one for Europe and the other for the UK; I didn't plan on spending more than 2-3 days in the UK really. Cold weather, shit food and an annoying accent; what is there to like about them?

That being said; I'm going to try again this year, so hopefully nobody here works in the UK embassy or something :D
