But why would he have to make it work? Just let Memphis play on the wing and Mata in the number 10 role. They both prefer it that way and perform better there as well.

Aguero is indeed marginally better. But I don't understand why people act as if there's this massive gap in quality between them. Their numbers are basically the same.

Numbers are not accurate always IMO. Lebron James would probably take MJ overall history points but I still think MJ is by miles the better player.

In all likelihood he probably isn't though. More charisma, sure, but Lebron is an absolute monster. It's like saying Maradona was better than Ronaldo.

EDIT: obviously I'd still consider MJ the better player, but that's also because his numbers are in fact better than Lebron's.

If he isnt, he would be close to the other two and surpass Suarez IMO. In his Atletico Madrid days, when he was little less injury prone, he was such a SURE fire money way to win games and be decisive in any moment that he reminded me a little of Romario (besides the build). Kid is a naturally skilled and insane goalgetter in a way that Tevez isnt IMO, and he has been insanely enough since he was 15-16 years old. Very complete attacker.

Funnily enough if one were to throw in the 'numbers don't mean everything' argument, Tevez would come out on top. Surely his workrate and passion are one notch higher than Aguero's.

Point is, Lebron could break Jordan's or Kobe's points tally but to 90% of Basketball experts and fans, they're easily ahead of him.

We always like to say that, in football too, but it's not true IMO. The physicality of players today compared to players of the 90's is something else entirely. Doesn't really matter in an Aguero vs Tevez debate obviously, but when people start talking about Cruijff or Pele it does.

Thats why I said Tevez is a bigger champion simply due to his mental aspect, he is very possessed type of player who works for every inch. Aguero lacks that bit, but he is still very complete, in a way that kinda surpasses Tevez for me, because besides being more decisive type of player in final third (extremely cold killer in finishing), he also works in huge areas and is involved in the build in very understated but big way. Can take on a whole defense, go wide often, make others involved etc. Quite complete and clever predator. The kind of performances he had vs Bayern or other big clubs I dont see Tevez having as often, despite how much I adore Carlitos (allways been more interesting player for me, Carlitos, due to his attitude that makes him a true champion for me).

THE NBA is less phyisical right now thatn in the 90's and 80's mainly because of the rules, rules were made to protect the perimeter players ( especially the handshake rule ). that's why the league seems less physical these days. But we mustn't forget that the defensive schemes are more developped.
Jordan is definetely the GOAT of all time, Kobe doesn't make my top 5 but what set these two apart from Lebron is the mental aspect.

I almost agree with everything you said, and the mental aspect is more important than the talent aspect most of the times so yes that's why MJ was superior to all greats NBA legends.

Talent alone i think Mcgrady was the most talented NBA player ever, the combination of his skill set and physical tools is out of this world, too bad he didn't feel the need to practice and was weak mentally

You're also forgetting Mcgrady's injury record. Never was the same as a player. Biggest tragedy was Arenas to me. All that talent.

Yeah i know, but part of his injuries were due to his lack of practice and the fact that he didn't take care of his body. He was still dominant in his prime and the best player in the world in 2002/2003.
His back problems killed his career tough.

No doubt. I share the same fears for Rose and Davis. Both of their playing styles while fun to watch makes very suspect to injuries. Rose we already know that acl messed up his game.
