Their attitude is shaped by two defining Mourinho eras, Ancelotti and a Di Matteo that gave them glory with ultra defensive countering football (Jose style). Rest of their coaches been Ranieri, Benitez, Scolari and Grant. Non are coaches you could say played champagne football (closest was Ancelotti, and he was real savvy, not gunho) Only brief period of naive hyped football was Villa Boas, the utter dumbass was worst by far.
This is a fan base that has grown accustomed to getting results with balanced organised football. Their worshipped hero Mourinho gave them 3 league titles with generally conservative (negative in CL) football. They rarely complain and Roman has not been an owner that speaks out about anything, let alone more attacking football.
