True. To be fair, we had an unreal number of injuries yesterday, but that happens all the time with us, and Wenger's insistence on keeping players like Flamini, Arteta and Gibbs is what causes us to drop points like this. Those players have performed extremely poorly for years now, yet they keep getting contract extensions, and get paid a lot of money for players of their ability(making us unable to sell them easily, even if we wanted to). Wenger does not have a ruthless streak like some of the other big managers, those players would never have survived all those years under an Ancelotti, Pep or Mourinho.

I seriously feel for players like Sanchez and Ozil who have to play with the pile of shit we have, especially when they came from elite teams with elite players in Real and Barca.
Wenger has been important for Arsenal, no one can deny that. But it has been time to move on for a couple of season now. If the guy was a class act, I can see why you'd hang onto him. But he insists on blaming everyone around him and has been building poorly balanced sides since 2006 (maybe a bit later?).

I agree.

I'd start blaming him a little further after 2006, those first years after we moved to the new stadium were always going to be tough. But the transition period has taken way too long.

Wenger might be the most important person in Arsenals modern history, he's the reason we have a world class stadium, a very healthy financial situation and he's the reason Arsenal fans expect to compete at all. But it has been clear for some time that its time for him to let us move on. There is no excuse why we haven't been competitive in the past few years.
