It's ridiculous. They overpay for mediocre garbage. And the problem for them now is that the top, top players all want to play for the Spanish duo and Bayern. Whereas, 6-7 years ago the EPL was the be-all and end-all for a lot of players.

That's why I'm not that worried that their clubs are all mega rich. If they keep spending it on overrated garbage they won't improve.

Fuck the EPL. It gives me immense pleasure to see both Chelsea and The Red Cunts from Manchester (somewhat; at least as pertains to the clueless style of football on display) struggling.

Even the British papers are now picking up on the face that clubs are buying players because they can and for no other reason, Otamendi being the latest one mentioned. It's at the stage where they can spend €25m-€30m on a player and not fear losing their investment, they just spent it again the next summer.
