No, I think he's better than Henry. Frenchman flopped during his brief spell among big boys. At that time EPL was miles bellow Serie A.
Sarcasm or stupidity...

I disagree. EPL might not have been as good as Serie A but class is class and Henry was great. Totti is the overrated one.
Liverpool winning that CL in 05 against Milan showed just how far below Serie A the EPL was...

Only pointing out how it is rather easy to shape the argument. I still stand by what I initialy said that it's ridiculous to make comparison between the two, as we're talking about players that occupied different positions on the pitch. Who was better Fat Ronaldo or Zidane? Nonsense. Moving on.

So it went to Totti being a better player than Henry? And that isn't absurd, right?

I get endless entertainment out of clicking that link in your sig Klin.

But, I'm still not buff! :andy2:

It's easy to make the comparison between attacking players that played different positions in attack, and if you can't see that Henry is clearly a class above Totti, you're insane, and at odds with basically every measurable, where Henry crushes Totti; aside from unrealized talent, Totti beats Henry in that regard. :p

I'd call fat Ronaldo and Zidane equal. They'd each be in my top 10 players of all time. Thierry Henry would be somewhere between 30-50. Francesco Totti probably somewhere between 100-150.

Totti incredibly weak mentally?

Clearly you didn't watch Euro 2000, he was the best player of the tournament.
That's news to me.

I've watched that final, and semifinal more than once. He did dick all in the semifinal. Italy didn't deserve to win that game at all. And he had two good moments in the final, otherwise he was invisible the entire match. He was very good in two matches. Sweden and Romania. And decent in the final. Best of the tournament? Hahaha.

If you think Totti is a mentally strong player who shines on the big stage, you're insane.

Treq is completely right here, Totti was the best player of the tournament. You don't have to like the guy, and it's quite evident that you hate his guts to the point that it cloudes your judgment. He was WC player, in his prime definitely was considered as one of the best players in the world. Some of his abilities were second to none. Case closed.

He essentially made Italy's goal against France with that glorious backheel and he put Del Piero and Montella through on goal, which they both failed to convert. Oh and that panenka against Van der Sar, remember that he told Maldini before taking the penalty that he would chip it. If you don't call that mentally strong I don't know what is for you.

He also had a good tournament in 06 despite having a metal plate in his foot.

He didn't shine in the CL, I'll give you that, but Roma rarely had strong teams to challenge for the CL. With the NT he did well except in 04.

Case closed. What a douche you are. You've offered nothing objective at all in this debate. Just your personal opinion about how good he is. I've done the same, but at least I've offered up something in regards to showing his record in International play, CL play, and against top teams like Juventus is appallingly bad. Sorry. Case closed in my favour. You're so pathetic it's quite amusing, with your Totti nut hugging.

God. Cheer for Roma a little more, and worship Totti. Which regardless of your denials, you clearly do. You obsequious Roman sycophant.

If you think he's even close to the player Thierry Henry was, you're insane and delusional. On lists of greatest players of all time, he's never even going to be close. His career and achievements and numbers speak volumes about his ability, especially on the big stage, which you have yet to counter. He was invisible and screwed over Italy in 02 WC, and then again in 04 Euros, red card in both, and multiple match ban in the latter, and then was invisible for most of 06, aside from scoring a penalty that was a joke of a call. But sure, he had a good Euro 2000, that makes up for the shit he pulled and the terrible performance he gave in three straight tournaments after.

And you guys are retarded. Zidane was by far the best player of Euro 2000. Totti.
