Maybe I should have added a bit more context.

My point was that ever with these huge transfer budgets that the EPL now has, a team like Juventus will always have something that EPL teams do not - specifically a better climate, and an easier language to learn if you are Spanish or Portuguese.

Other than UCL, Juventus was clearly where Cuadrado felt comfortable, versus Chelsea where he didn't.

I do think it is strange for Costa to say this so candidly while still playing for Chelsea though.
Thank u for the clarification

You are probably right. Not sure. I usually let my swift key auto suggestion input words like that after hitting first letter.

It's one of those things where even autocorrect fucks up sometimes and as a non native speaker it gets seriously confusing.

Juve isn't the only club in the world but it is one of the biggest in the world. Options is the exact reason why. Hence I said smart players wouldn't sign it.
Not everyone is as smart as pogba. Smart in football is of course has a relative definition.

Some will go for the money, other for the ambition, some short term others thinking long term. Regardless, will this impact us? yes. Probably not a lot as but still has some impact on the way we deal with acquiring these players. If it wasnt for these release clauses, we probably wouldnt have even gone for Pjanic, as it would have seemed his unavailable. As for Higuain? who knows.

You go into rage mode very quickly. I don't mind, I think it's actually quite funny. But you constantly get triggered by the slightest comments.

And Tanu never really shares useful info. He just gives you a rumour two hours early so he can feel important. Maybe if you're 12 these things matter. If you're an adult, you should realise there will always be rumours and in the end you just have to wait and see who actually signs. Rumours means shit.

Which is why Tanu is the most irritating member on this forum right now.
At least Osman and co. are reasonable...
U ppl keep attacking other member who doesn't share your opinion, and u call other hypocrite..

Ozzy's okay. But he does go crazy every so often. I kind of understand PI's point.

As for the rest, I think our management did fantastic. I don't know why people would criticise our mercato. I'm not blind to negative aspects, I mean 90 mil for Higuain is a bit tough to stomach, but overall? Yeah, they did good.

Yep, so do I.
I think we have had a fantastic mercato, but I do not agree with every move we make. Depending on how this day goes, I would call it a 8/10 or 9/10 mercato. My problem with PI this summer is that he goes into Zach mode rants every time somebody comes with a negative comment, and he changes he's opinions on players based on if they are staying or going. I don't rate Witsel or Matuidi and they wont become WC or close to it in my eyes just because they will hold up a Juve jersey in the end of this mercato. Pogba is still a top 3 CM even though he is a United player now, Pjanic has a lot to prove to be considered WC and Higuain was overpriced as fuck, and it is borderline embarrassing, for him to show up to preseason looking like a fat pig, after Juve just spend 90 mil euro on him giving him 8 mil net in salary.

I may forget something:

Out: Cáceres, Cuadrado, Morata, Pogba, Padoin, Pereyra, Zaza
IN: Higuain, Pjanic, Pjaca, Alves, Benatia, Witsel

It's not like if we just signed top players and dont lose anyone so why can anyone have something to say against our summer mercato? People is just blind and kind of bulling

You know I hold you in high regards, but you really have gone into total meltdown this summer. Your agenda this year is to convince everybody that everything our management do is correct, and you will twist an turn every stat so it fits your agenda. Hell if we sign Sissoko today, you will pull out a stat, showing that Sissoko hat more succesfull take ons in the euros than Pogba, so he most be better than Pogba in offense. Everybody who has anything negative to say must be ridiculed, even Osman who is probably one of the most objective and intelligent posters on Tuz.
Nowhere did I say Witsel is better than Pogba or Vidal. Or even imply it. The point was that calling him "mediocre" is beyond stupid. Hernanes is mediocre. Sturaro is mediocre. Witsel isn't world class by any means, but he is a good, solid player, and pretty much all evidence backs this up. Stats and otherwise.

i have not once said Pogba is a poor player. I've said multiple times I think he was the best CM in football for the last 2-3 months of the season, and only consistency is currently holding him back from taking that place. I've said this multiple times since we sold Pogba. I've also said multiple times that Vidal's sale was the one real mistake made by our management. We should have bet on him, not Pogba. IMO.

And it's literally 5-6 posters I actually engage with about this. And if you can't see that people who are calling Witsel mediocre and garbage are being easily as ridiculous, I can't help you. Osman can go full-blown baby about our midfield this summer if he wants, and rage all he wants when people call him out on it. He can white knight for other posters all he wants too. Good for him. But I feel no need to tread lightly around him just because you think he's intelligent. I don't.

Please give me one example other than Higuain where I changed my mind on a player though? And even with him, I can quote posts of mine from mid-season and earlier when I said I thought he would do fantastic here even if I dislike him.

Higuain can score like 3 times more goals than Morata could. And finishing was our team's greatest flaw ever since has fixed the defence, we have been struggling to find such a finisher ever since Trezequet retired!
Benatia will be proved for sure an essential contribution when we will be in the semis missing one of Barzagli or Chiellini, ppl is always forgetting how we are always disqualified, when we dont just fail to score our chances, we flop at the defence, because we miss a starter and have to rely into an Ogbonna to stop that CR7, messi, in crucial matches when just a wrong tackle can make the difference.
Pjanic is at least as good as Pogba is at this age, we only lost future prospect there, but this was the biggest sale of our history and one we always knew that was bound to happen, because the player and hos agent wanted it!
Alvez wont last long but for the next couple of years, he will have a bigger impact than Pereyra can muster in a lifetime.
Cuadrado, our last year mvp, will return and turn tables in that balance.
Witsel will be far more helpful than Padoin ever could and has much more chances to become smth more than a time waster sub.
Pjaca for Zaza is the real mystery that remains to be seen, with Dybala, Manzu and Higuain being top material, a SS-CF hybrid that cant score much, nor tops at creating chances is prolly less usefull than a promising AMF.
