For me i think we need more creativity not physical. Look how deep dybala try to get the ball last game and even the goal is from dybala pass from the midfield. I do miss pogba killer passes not his physical or fancy dribbling
I did noticed him being too deep and Mandzu being too isolated up front because of this. We have too big of a distance between mid and attacking lines. I saw 2 parallel lines in attack with breaks only from the flanks.

You do realize we played without our most creative player?!
As for our mid - I think it is too soft we need someone to put some muscle into it to make it more complete however someone like Fabregas who knows how to attack and defend while he is a very creative player would be a great addition even if he isnt the most masculine player...
Kovacic might be a good addition but it is too risky to sign him outright as he might take that extra step and might not! If he does he will be of high quality if he doesnt he will be just another good player which means we should then look for better players...
Loan+option would be a really great deal!

As for Cuadrado - just sign him loan or no loan - He is extremely fast, great dribbler could invent something out of nothing, last season he showed he can definitely track back even if he isnt the greatest man marker/tackler... He can shoot cross pass and last year he demonstrated he can become a better team player than he ever was!
30M?! We should definitely sign him!
P.S I really think he could be a very good B2B player (although not his best position)

So we spend a trillion dollares on Miss Piggy in order to compete among the best in Europe.

Yet people don't think we need another midfielder, despite one starter coming back from a ACL-injury at the age of 30, one starter being injury-prone, the best backup being injury-prone.

Yeah, that leaves us with one of the best in Serie A in Pjanic, a decent young backup in Lemina, and two players of poor quality in Hernanes and Sturaro.

But, but.. we can always sign someone in January. Ehh, ever seen the price tag of good players in January. But, but.. if Khedira and Asamoah stays healthy [they have combined 49 league appearances the last two seasons out of 152] :)lol:) and Marchisio returns to form :xfinger: we'll be fine. Let's hope Pjanic stays healthy.

In other words: we need a midfielder.

I just don't know what are we waiting for, our transfer balance is +30M € (considering additional 23M coming from Zaza), I believe that we will also sell Hernanes (if not now then in winter window), Marrone, Mame Thiam and PDC, so that's extra 10M € at the very least, so our balance will be +40M €.

We could easily afford James for 70M €, and I believe that Real would sell him for that sum. Yes his realistic value is probably close to 60M, but we wouldn't overpay by that much.

Ideally we would also sell Lichtsteiner (I love him, but he is getting old and we will have to replace him next year) and buy Fabinho, who can play RB and DM.

But unfortunately as things stand now, we will maybe end up with Cuadrado. I just really hope we don't buy scrubs like Witsel or Luiz Gustavo, because they just can't play for us. Imagine Real or Bayern buying awful players like Witsel for their starting XI, yeah it will never happen.

I can see where you are coming from. However, my only guess is - if you spend 70m on someone you have to 100% start him. You have to start Dybala and Higuain and Pjanic. Perhaps Allegri is not sure he can start all of them while playing BBC. Or perhaps, we don't think its prudent to spend that kind of money after spending 90m on Higuain. I suspect its more the latter.

Gustavo/Witsel will fetch more than 20m.

Other clubs would be stupid not to ask for more. They know :

- we sold our best CM
- we got a kings ransom for him
- it's the desperate dog days of the transfer window
- beppe gonna beppe
