Just saw on calciomercato that the options now are: Kovacic, Sissoko, Luis Gustavo, Hector Herrera, with Bakayoko, Ruben Neves, Tielemans and Dahoud as long shots
The question is would Herrera Dahoud and Tielemans be eligible for the CL?
Given our options Dahoud is certainly the most interesting player there while Tielemans has some immense talent Herrera is probably the best option out of this list while Kovacic is talented but I wouldnt buy him outright rather go for loan with option.

marotta deserves all kudos for the signings like pjanic, benatia, rugani, dybala (etc), but our midfield still looks weaker compared to what we had in the cl final. beppe said before the mercato that our midfield needs some work, and he only brought in pjanic (to replace pogba), while players like renato sanchez, krychowiak, gündogan, kanté, mkhi, diawara or xhaka all changed clubs. either of those would have made this squad 100% complete.

If we don't get a CM but manage to sign Cuadrado I hope we go with the trident. Something like 343:

let's stop living in fantasy and making lists of players we have ni chance of getting a compile a list of which hernanes like of signing we are bound to make. best guess would be hernanes staying and us not making any more purchases, which would be logical instead if splashing money on another average hard to get rid of mid.
