Meh, I'd probably prefer Witsel over Matuidi. He appears to play in the CDM role more frequently. Neither are really at the top of my list though.

I'd rather see someone come in who is 23-25, although I can see why the club is looking at this kind of short-termism when trying to replace not only Pogba but also bearing in mind the injury to Marchisio and possibility of Khedira being injured. We'd be left with a questionable Asamoah and Pereyra (at this stage) and young players (Lemina, Sturaro, Mandragora), assuming Hernanes is sold. Not that's he's up to being a regular anyway.

What am I missing? Matuidi is really good. I'd love him here. Exactly the type of player we need. We need somebody physical there with Pogba leaving. Pjanic can take care of Pogba's creativity but he's also soft as hell.
