I will remind everyone, that as of now (including Pogba), we need to cut 2 senior non-HG players from the squad in order to meet the quota. So if you assume that Pogba and Zaza leave, we will be at the right quota number. So if you think Pogba leaving means we get Wistel + Matuidi, you would need to get rid of 2 other midfielders. Namely Hernanes and Pereyra for example.
You can consider them as sold... I see no scenario in which they will be staying

P.S If things stay as they are - This mercato is 9 out of 10! Only missing a wonderkid instead of Zaza to make it a 10!

They can easily go the Iaquinta/Amauri/Isla route and fuck us in the ass by rejectinmg every deal with the excuse of "ill fight for my place"

That would be quite impossible if they are not included in the squad. Surely some will want some cash to grease their transitions, but our policy of not giving obscene basic wages and concentrating on bonuses is working very well here.

Under a scenario whereby both player and club mutually rescind the deal.

Juve would have to write down the remaining value of his contract in one hit = 8m. But we would save on his gross salary which is 7m and the annual amortization of 4m.

Clearly best case scenario would be to offload him for 6m, get him to accept a pay cut to around 2.5m net. The effect would therefore be a loss on book of 2m + 11m saved in wages in amortization = 9m gain in first year.

His annual cost to us is 11m where his wages make up 2/3rds of that cost.

Hence, if you are Hernanes' agent, you would stall for as long as possible as it is more likely that the next club you play for will pay a higher salary if the cost of acquiring the contract is lower.

Matuidi is a good box to box hard worker, what makes it extra bad is him replacing Pogba lol.

But he a nonstop runner who makes a lot of opportunistic runs often into the box, has little to no technique and passing skills, so it's important our other midfielders are quite skillfull creators. He has been good for PSG. But I'm kind afraid of the scenario of us being pinned down in a predictable game with our defensive set up as it happens at times and here is Matuidi and Sturaro on the pitch, supposed to make something happen

His defensive work is too average for that. He is more of just a tenacious runner. For the same price we could gotten Kante who is like twice the ball winner he is. A shame what happens when you wait around a bit too much.

At PSG

You Had Motta playing the Marchisio role, Verratti the creator and Matuidi being the energetic B2B midfielder.

Matuidi will find himself in a similar setup at Juve. Just replace Verratti with Pjanic and Motta with Marchisio.

A Pogba replacement is hard to find since he's so complete so we replace him with players who have specific roles and balance our midfield a little more as a result.

Yes. Kante would've been my ideal signing. I wouldn't have hesitated one bit to pay €35M for him.

If the reality is as it seems to be that we are selling Pogba and everything has been agreed upon except for the official announcement, why is this last spectacle taking so long and hindering us from finding appropriate options? Are we shooting ourselves in the foot once again?

#TS: #Juve have initiated contacts with #Monaco for their 21 year old French midfielder #Bakayoko
I have no idea about this kid, but it's smarter going young then another 29 year old who is very energetic but fairly mediocre and little room to improve.

For Monaco midfielders I like Thomas Lemar, more of attacking CM, complete package of a little kid.

What about Tolisso ? Seems fairly hyped from what I've been reading.

I'm not sure but my guess is part of the reason is taking so long is because we want to find midfielders to get before we announce it too. But market seems slow.

I would be fine with getting some DM and Kovacic for extra inventive ability from the bench.

Also another reason is space in the squad, we need to sell our dead weights before we consider making more purchases.

I'm not sure, he seems decent in few games I seen but I stopped paying attention to Lyon when Fekir got that season ending injury back then. What a gem he will be if he can rebound to former self from that horror injury.
