The only way we have a sliver of hope for Verratti is if he really pushes for transfer from his end, which I don't see happening. And even then it's questionable would PSG really let him go or just throw a new extension we could never match.

I don't know if this Herrera guy is good to be a first team player for us, I would much rather see Matić (but as it seems, Conte won't let him go), sell Pereyra, Hernanes, Zaza, De Ceglie, Isla (60mil), Pogba is off to MUTD(120mil, so we are even), and if I remember well Marrota said that we have 50 mil budget + player sales. If we could buy 1 first team player and 1 good rotating midfielder that would be awesome plus Gabriel Barbosa (I don't like his nickname) and call it a day.

The good news is that these days a disappointing transfer is the likes of Hernanes with equivalents being a Montolivo, Thiago Motta, Gary Medel, Brozovic or a Guarin

A few years ago it would have been a Francesco Lodi. That in itself is a win.
