How would you feel if it was a Kovacic morata straight swap
That would be 10 mill too much for Kova. He just sent half a season doing nothing and was unspectacular when he did play (he was just ok). He should not be worth 30 mill after such a poor season. Even at Inter he didn't do great. Having said that I'd rather take him for 30 mill than end up with a saponara

Would you like Lukake here guys?.
yes ofc he is going to be a beast of a player but he shouldnt be our priority since we are already covered for CF. I'd rather spend that kind of insane money on two midfielders.

Juve, the days of Alves
Imminent signature and announcement, while from Belgium’s retreat Lukaku sends messages to the Bianconeri
'Me, Pogba and the Champions League
…
Is that public or just a rumor? It'd be great if players started saying "I want to play with Pogba" the way they do about Ronaldo and Messi. His status would rise astronomically.

What if he is underused in real amdrid and in fact turn to world class here?
Thats a big IF. He didn't show it at Inter and he didnt show it at Madrid. I'd rather get someone who we are much more certain that he'd deliver world class performances like Pjanic or Mascherano.

I am not against signing him btw he is definitely better than our bench options, I am just saying that if your explicit target now is the Champions League then Pjanic and Masch are the type of players you should sign if its within your means rather than players who may or may not turn world class.

Kovacic is a classic Marotta opportunistic transfer - loan with option to buy. I don't see us fitting the cash up front. If we assume this deal goes ahead we know that Hernanes could go to China for 8-10m, while Asamoah and Pereyra could fetch us some cash (thinking 10 and 15 respectively). This should give us some fire power for that elusive midfielder that would be a starter for us.

Dude its not winning eleven 3. Roberto Carlos in attack :D
He played the same role vs Bayern. Having him playing with Evra along with his crossing ability and overlapping runs with Pogba it would not only make our left side impredgnable defensively but also provide fantastic service. Though this definitely wouldnt be my go to formation id rather Sandro play with a real winger.

Oh and obviously keep Morata. I'm confident we can keep him for at least another season anyway. Best move for him and us. Real will be busy with Lewandowski and other shiny things, and it looks like Alvaro will hold firm about not wanting to be transferred to a team he doesn't want to go to.

I'd feel its highly possible and a very Marrotta kind of trade. That said, the downside would be their notional values on the mercato. Morata is definitely worth more than 30m to us, while Kovacic is definitely worth less than 30m to Real. Unfortunately, both scenarios, the price-value equation is controlled by Real, and especially for the latter, they put a price on his head for the fact that they are CL champs too. Everything inflates from that point. Regards the deal per se, I feel all things considered, Morata has proven his talent, while Kovacic still needs to underline the talent we all know he has, and some of that is linked to opportunity.

Alves & Sandro need to phone up G. Jesus.

That's what needs to happen.
This is assuming we lose Alvaro and Zaza, coz Berardi is as good as done and I'm not buying into the hype around the player just yet. Need to see him a bit in this Juve set up to change my mind.

Would you like Lukake here guys?.
Interesting, but i rate Alvaro higher.

Alves, Pjanic and Berardi. Close mercato.
You forgot Mascherano but assuming we don't go after him, I'm pretty sure we will add a CB to the set, in the form of Benatia.

Possible that happens, but lets not forget Real's transfer ban starting from the next window.

Marrone hasn't played more than 15 matches for his last few clubs. I guess if we want someone to take the last spot in the reserves then that is fine.
Thats still more than any other of our other HG options, and given its a depth/reserve signing, I'm ok with that.

Pereyra wants to stay in Italy &
preferably at Juve, but the club will
consider offers for him & might
insert him in a deal for Pjanic. #GdS

Hernanes may leave Juve for China
for a fee close to what Juve paid for
him (11m). Remains to be seen if
Hernanes agrees to the move.
#GdS

Asamoah has gathered interest
from England, especially Chelsea.
Juve will not oppose a departure &
will want a fee in the range of 20m.

Please let us stay away from the monstrosity Lukaku. His game yesterday, yet again horrible with a lucky goal. Defending and goalkeeping mistake combining his unaimed, yet powerful shot.

However the guy is incapable of playing in tight spaces, has zero ball control and is made for EPL. Serie A would kill him. Morata is twice the player he is, let's put all resources on keeping him.

My gut feeling here is the following is highly likely to occur:

1) Morata stays with buy back option postponed by 1 year.
2) Kovacic is a 1 year loan with option to buy.
3) Pjanic, Gomes or Mascherano will not arrive. Could be something from left field - potentially a last minute mercato signing.
4) 2 of Hernanes, Pereyra and Asamoah will leave
5) Black Jesus goes to another club.
6) Alves and Berardi join with Cuadrado & Caceres out.

My guess is Gomes goes to Man United, Mascherano stays at Barca while Barca buys Pjanic by paying buy out.

I know. I was just teasing.

I'd be happy if only those 2 remain of our depth options. Sign 1 top level CM/AM, and then 2 depth options/potential.

Something like Pjanic + Kovacic on loan + Mandragora.

Pogba, Marchisio, Khedira, Pjanic, Kovacic, Lemina, Sturaro, Mandragora would be a pretty beastly set of midfield players.

Although I wouldn't be adverse to keeping Pereyra too. I think he could still develop into a very good player.
